Chinese herbal medicine is a 2,000 year old tradition using plants, minerals and some animal products to treat disease patterns arising from internal or external harms. Dermatological conditions are very common inflammatory in nature, so many of the medicinals used to treat them are 'cooling' in nature.
Since each patient has different needs, I carefully select and combine a variety of herbs that synergistically blend together to achieve optimal results for each unique situation. I prescribe high-quality, professional-grade herbal medicines that are available only to qualified licensed professionals and can be found at: kamwostore.com
The topicals used are hand-made in England by expert Traditional Chinese pharmacists specifically for dermatological problems.
In your initial visit I will conduct the interview and record pertinent information relating to your dermatological condition. This will include and evaluation and photographing of the skin and tongue as well as collecting any other information relative to your case. Once I have the information I need, I will prescribe an individualized herbal medicine formula for internal and/or external use.
3-4 weeks after the initial visit, and 3-4 weeks after each follow-up appointment. Tongue and skin is reassessed and photographed. Interview is conducted and a new formula may be prescribed.
For situations where conducting the initial consultations in person is not feasible or accessible, I offer telehealth consultations over Zoom.
Follow-up appointments are best conducted in person, for occasions where that is not possible or necessary telehealth consultations can be done through Zoom.
